Aquatica’s South Seas-inspired flora features more than 100 species of trees and 250 species of shrubs, grasses, vines and flowers. In total, 60,000 plants cover the grounds of this lush park.
Providing the ultimate in guest comfort, Aquatica’s serene beaches are packed with 3.1 million pounds of soft, white sand covering 80,000 square feet.
Private cabanas are available for rent for $175 a day during peak season (Memorial Day-Labor Day), $150 per day the remainder of the year for up to four people. It’s $30 for each additional guest, maximum capacity is seven people. You can reserve in advance at quaticabyseaworld.com.
A spot beneath the cabanas’ ceiling fans could be the summer’s coolest hang-out. Privacy curtains drape all four sides of the cabana, which contains a mini-refrigerator. Included in the rental is an all-day locker, soft drinks, water, juice, sunscreen and a 25 percent discount on merchandise.
Aquatica’s racing rides, glistening lagoons and winding rivers are filled with a whopping 3.3 million gallons of water kept at a comfortable 84 degrees.
